The Waiting Game

It hasn't been easy waiting for the arrival of our baby boy these past few days since his due date of June 14. We know that he will arrive soon but when you're expecting something on or before a certain date it begins to feel a lot like someone delayed Christmas or pushed back your own birthday a few days. I told our little baby boy on Tuesday that he missed his birthday, in hopes that would excite him enough to want to come out and have his birthday soon! No such luck.

As we wait we've been keeping plenty busy by playing mini golf at Sayville Falls.

Playing games at Dave & Buster's including Speed of Light, which a 9 month pregnant Sarah was still able to beat me at!
We even walked 2 miles round trip to Wendy's for a Spicy Chicken Sandwich and a new Bacon Mozzarella Burger.

Last night was Taco Bell with EXTRA fire sauce but it wasn't enough to push the baby out apparently.
Tomorrow we're going to see Finding Dory and he won't be able to see what's going on in the movie. Maybe all of our laughter and hearing the talented voice actors will make him want to come out and see what's going on!
So far we are thinking that we have a baby who is good at procrastinating, doesn't listen to his parents and likes to be warm and cozy. Can't wait to see if all or any of this is really true some day.

This week has been a lot like my favorite Cookie Monster commercial from Apple advertising their new Siri countdown commands. It doesn't help that he sets the timer for 14 minutes and our little baby's due date was on the 14th.

Beach Days and Summer Rays

Sarah and I took 6 of the 8 Owen siblings to Rogers Beach in Westhampton last Saturday. We enjoyed beautiful weather with lots of sun and BIG waves! The girls all enjoyed jumping in the waves which was easier to do this time around because of a shallow sandbar in front of where we were sitting. Whether it was jumping over or running through waves Millie, Annie, Susie, Piper and Luci were true warriors of the waves!

It wasn't long before I found myself buried in sand by Luci, Piper and Aidan!
